Why I Love Edenbridge
My drive into the town from the south is extemley relaxing passing through the beautiful countryside that surrounds the town and finally crossing over the river into the, part medieval, town centre where our office is situated. We’re surrounded by a town of such historic interest and beauty and one look at the Old Edenbridge Bookshop for example puts a smile back on my face whenever I pass.
MY FAVOURITE SPOT
Is the Eden Valley Museum situated in the centre of the town and surrounded by some superbly restored medieval buildings. I’ve spent hours mulling over some of the exhibits on display and it feels very much like going back in time.
Professionally this is a wonderful area to be working in. On any day you can be visiting a recently constructed starter home in the morning, then in the afternoon a substantial detached property standing in grounds. A great mix of styles and hugely satisfying as no appointment is the same.
PLACES TO VISIT
The area is surrounded by many exciting places to visit for that special ‘day out’. This includes numerous pubs and restaurants tucked away in winding country lanes as well stately homes, including my favourite, Winston Churchill’s Chartwell House to the North and not forgetting beautiful Hever Castle to the East.
From lovely locals always dropping in for a chat, my charming colleagues and the local shopkeepers I pop into to see when I get the office milk – always cheerful, neighbourly and making the town such a wonderful community to be a part of.
